Railing Installation on Concrete

  1. Layout railing line
  2. Determine post locations
  3. Drill holes for rebar
  4. Secure rebar in hole with hydraulic cement
  5. Cut posts and rails to correct lengths
  6. Install posts over rebar
  7. Insert railing sections into posts
  8. Level and square railing
  9. Fill posts with concrete
  10. Install post caps

Tools & Materials Needed

  1. Drill
  2. 3/4" masonry drill bit
  3. Hydraulic cement
  4. 2 pieces 1/2" rebar per post x 40" (for 36" high) & 42" (for 46" high)
